Our Story
We’re dog parents who have loved and lost
We have loved multiple shelter dogs and lost them to cancer and other complex health issues.
Love and grief inspired us to research fresh foods for dogs as we nursed our senior boys over the Rainbow Bridge. This led to developing meals and treats with real ingredients, made at home, with lots of love.
We made valiant efforts, but couldn’t win against time
For more than a decade, we had fallen for flashy marketing from big commercial brands and the convenience of processed foods.
These choices, filled with by-products and artificial preservatives, eroded our dogs’ vitality. They stole precious time from us long before our dogs lost their will to live.
We vowed to do better
We committed to sourcing and preparing the highest quality food for our newly adopted pups.
We read stories from pet parents just like you, and experimented with every ingredient we intended to feed our dogs on ourselves first.
This is the determination and commitment we bring to you through Tycoolz: premium all natural treats made by dog lovers for your well-loved dogs.
We invite you to join us.
Because you love your dogs, we’ll help you treat them right. Every step of the way.

About Ty
Ty, aka the Sheriff, was our pack leader. He was a smart cunning super mutt always on the lookout to protect his family - be it from villains or varmints.
At age 12, our otherwise strong-willed and joyful boy developed an unknown growth on his spleen. Meanwhile something mysterious was wreaking havoc on his GI system and destroying his internal organs.
We had been feeding him by-product and chemical laden pet food for over a decade, and now the damage from all those years was manifesting in full force.
Ty was getting progressively more sick and dying.
The lessons we learned from loving Ty through his illness, his strength, and his zest for life are the driving forces behind our mission to treat dogs right.
